How to pack for your vacation the right way, with MARK :)

How to pack for your vacation the right way, with MARK :)

July 07, 2017

It’s that time of travels and vacations again. I would like to give you some tips on how to pack as effectively as possible so there is some space left for me as well. If you are carrying a hand luggage or travelling low-cost, (sure, first class is first class but the excitement of not knowing who will get in first, whether you will find space for your luggage, and the rewarding feeling after you’ve succeeded… is simply good), read twice! And if something doesn’t work out, it’s a training for your nerves. You are not gonna die, it’s just a vacation 😊 Just like MARK’s packaging can be half full or half empty… I am an eternal optimist and always in a good mood.

  1. Prepare everything you would like to take with you in one place, like your bed. Because I already know you quite well, I bet half of the things wouldn’t even fit in your baggage.

  2. Now it’s time to pick. You will most likely need clothing for beach, parties and trips. Start with practical pieces that you can get use at various occasions. A scarf can be used in multiple ways - for travelling, to protect you from air conditioning, to throw over your shoulders at night, to sit on if you have nothing else. One universal dress for the beach and a fancy dinner, a pair of practical jeans, a few tops (long and short sleeved), shorts, a skirt, two pairs of swimsuits, underwear, pajamas and a little face towel. What’s essential is the packing method. Roll what you can into little tubes, the clothes won’t wrinkle and it will save you more space than regular folding. If you are still desperate what to throw out, ask your sister, mom or boyfriend. Maybe you won’t like them for a while but it will save you useless kilograms of luggage and the agony of decision-making.

  3. Packing shoes is never easy. Remember to pick a pair you can wear to both the beach and the party. What you really need is one pair of flip flops, sandals or other evening shoes and some comfy trainers for trips. I wouldn’t recommend brand new shoes if you are planning on walking long distances. If you do so, just a box of blisters, just in case.

  4. Don’t forget your regular medications and pills. In case you will be on a ship, pack some pills for seasickness. You should always carry a compact package of wet wipes with you, to freshen up, wash your hands or clean a dirty table.

  5. If you want to take more expensive jewellery, wear it on the plane. Pack other jewellery and tiny things within your luggage, in a box or sack stuffed with tissues.

  6. And last but not least - my beloved cosmetics and skin care. Remember, less is more. Try to find combined packs like shower gel and shampoo in one, or travel sizes of your favorite products. Besides a cosmetic bag, pack your cosmetics in a plastic sack as well in order to prevent all your clothes being sticky from your spilled shampoo. A high quality sunscreen, deodorant, body lotion (which you can get use of after tanning), one favourite perfume and maybe a repellent for mosquitos is pretty much everything you shouldn’t forget. And of course, me - MARK scrub. Use me before sunbathing or apply me as a mask to moisturise and soften your skin. You can also use me for your feet to look attractive on the beach. I believe you will appreciate me on your  dry elbows, knees or you know, just when you wish to lift up the mood before you go out. The delicious smell of coffee gets you in the right mood before every party. What’s more, my peppermint aroma has some nicely chilling properties. Perfect for the hot summer days and nights.

Safe travels and bon voyage,

MARK
